Seabeck Information

The VIUF Board supports having space available for more folks to attend this fun retreat August 19-21, 2022 on Hood Canal.  Thus far, we have 35 people who have reserved their space.  If you haven’t done so yet, please send Pamela Godt, ,  an email or text requesting a reservation. Seabeck requires that all attending show proof of vaccinations and staff are all fully vaccinated and boosted, so it should be very safe for us all.

Rev. Linda Hart will be providing a poetry session on Saturday;  Amy Huggins hopes to present a yoga session; and Shauna Ahern plans to do a session either on Writing and/or on Finding Joy in Your Life. We are still looking for other folks who might like to teach a session on??? Emu grooming?, 5-card stud? Quilting? What is your area of expertise? or whatever suits you. Presenters receive a modest stipend to cover a portion of their Seabeck fees. We also hope to gather donations to provide some camperships for children in families. If you have a great idea, please contact Pamela Godt

We will also be doing a fun game of Bingo Saturday evening with prizes, right after supper. Also, the fire pit by the lake and near our cabins is reserved for VIUF  both Friday and Saturday nights for “Sing- Alongs & Storytelling” from 8-9 p.m.  The Cathedral-in-the-Woods has been reserved for our group’s Service on Sunday morning after breakfast from 9:30-10:30 a.m. There is also plenty of time allowed for hikes in the forest, and inspecting the graveyard over a century old, as well as playing tennis or boating on the lake, or walking by Hood Canal. All members and friends are welcome to attend. Come prepared for fun and joy in learning new things as well as getting to know one another better in a beautiful spot in a casual setting. Please contact Pamela Godt to reserve your space. The rest of Seabeck is already totally sold out, so if you would like to come, be sure to let us know your wishes in a timely fashion, before the last room is taken.
