This week our Zoom service/meeting/coffee hour will honor Mother’s Day, Earth Day (isn’t every day?) and our monthly theme of Threshold. We’ll share an expansive and inclusive definition of mother- not the greeting card sentmentality.  Mother’s Day can be emotionally rocky for many people for many reasons. Would you be willing to share a picture or image of symbolism of what your Mother, or any female role model or mentor or symbol means to you? We’ll hold up and view our photos together, and have the opportunity to expand the discussion during our break-out groups.

Our program will include participation by our RE families, and a child-led Story for All Ages. VIUF son James McCrackyn and his teacher Kat Eggleston will add some music along with several other selections. As always, we will have a grounding meditation and the opportunity to share joys and concerns. Reflections will span pagan and earth-based roots of Mother goddess and the UU origins of Mother’s Day as a Peace Movement.
