During this time of the global pandemic, we have all been reminded and deeply impacted by our connections to one another, even from great distances. As amazing as it has been to witness an invisible virus touch people in Nairobi, St. Petersburg, San Paulo and Vashon Island, at a deeper level we can learn how the natural world is interconnected, seemingly invisibly. Patterns repeat themselves among species for centuries. One ship stuck in the Suez Canal impacts people in Alaska, the Netherlands, and Saudi Arabia. People, products, trees, plants and birds all connect us deeply to one another, and to this wondrous, fascinating, interconnected web of all beings.
